Clerk of the Board

The Clerk of the Board's Office serves as a liaison between the County Board, the public, and the various county departments. The Clerk of the Board is appointed for two (2) year terms by the County Board. The office provides assistance to the Board through letter writing, researching of information on assorted subjects, writing reports, preparing meeting agendas, writing up board and committee minutes, and forwarding information to the proper parties. In addition, we maintain files for county related business, insure that required filings and procedures are being adhered to, apportion various budgets and special taxes, and determine real property tax rates.

The Clerk of the Board also serves as the Records Access Officer for all county records. Formal requests to see or get a copy of any county record may be made through this office. In addition, we answer many diverse questions and provide information for the public and other governmental agencies.
