Emergency Preparedness:

What you should know

Preparedness is an every day task for everyday life.  Being prepared for all types of emergencies is crucial and the best way to protect you and your family is to plan for the unexpected before it happens.  The occurrence of natural and or manmade disasters is a reality.  Disaster can strike quickly and may happen without warning.  It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood, workplace or school or it can confine you to your home.  The best way to make you and your family safer is to be aware and prepare.  The Otsego County Department of Health encourages you to make a kit, make a plan and be informed.
