Otsego County and Otsego Now offer opportunities for the small and large scale business and agri-business entrepreneur seeking available funding for project proposals. In general, projects of a smaller scale may qualify for funding available through the County. Otsego County, under a contract with Thoma Development of Cortland, New York, offers the opportunity for the small business entrepreneur in Otsego County to seek funding opportunities through small business (SB), micro-enterprise (ME) and County low-interest loans. If you are in search of start-up funding, equipment purchasing, expansion and/or improvements to an existing small business, contact the County Planning Department by calling 607-547-4225 during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of summer hours 9:00 a.m. – 4 p.m., from July 1 through Labor Day.


Otsego Now, the economic development organization that contains the County of Otsego Industrial Development Agency as well as a regional workforce training center, promotes and supports projects that create and/or retain jobs, and promotes private-sector investment through incentives and workforce development.
