The Otsego County Office of Emergency Services through the NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control provides training to the Volunteer and Career FireFighters that represent 30 Fire Departments which protect the 60,000 residents and over 1,000 square miles of Otsego County. It is this training that allows these firefighters to be prepared to meet the requirements of their job and needs of their customers - the residents, businesses and visitors to Otsego County's city, towns and villages.
Fire Services Training is conducted by certified County and State Fire Instructors at the County training facilities or at local fire stations depending on class requirements and student interest.
