IMPORTANT NOTICE 

PITTSFIELD TRANSFER STATION

4/6/2015

SATURDAY APRIL 11, 2015 IS THE LAST OFFICIAL DAY BURLINGTON RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO DISPOSE OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE AT THE PITTSFIELD/BURLINGTON TRANSFER STATION LOCATED ON MUMBALO ROAD, OFF COUNTY HIGHWAY 49.

EFFECTIVE SATURDAY APRIL 18, 2015, THE PITTSFIELD TRANSFER STATION WILL ONLY ACCEPT HOUSEHOLD TRASH FROM PITTSFIELD RESIDENTS.

RECYCLABLES WILL CONTINUE TO BE ACCEPTED FREE OF CHARGE FROM ALL COUNTY RESIDENTS.

 

THE TOWN OF PITTSFIELD WILL ISSUE ID CARDS TO ALL PITTSFIELD RESIDENTS THROUGH THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE. CONTACT THE PITTSFIELD TOWN CLERK AT (607)847-9885 DURING THE FOLLOWINGBUSINESS HOURS:

Tuesdays 3:00 PM – 8 PM

Thursdays 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Saturdays 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

 

 

  • Located on Mumbalo Road (1/2 mile from intersection with County Route 49)
  • Open Saturdays 9am - 3pm
  • Recyclables accepted from any county resident
  • Bagged garbage accepted from town of Pittsfield residents only at no charge
  • Specialty items accepted about 4x/year from town of Pittsfield and Burlington residents only
  • Scrap metal items are accepted from any county resident at no charge for deposit in a separate metal container
