Disasters (natural or manmade) can strike quickly and without warning. It can significantly affect you and your animals.Animals are especially vulnerable when disaster strikes because they rely on humans to ensure their safety.

Otsego County is home to over 62,000 residents and it is estimated that    65   % share their lives with animals. In addition to compaion animals; Otsego County has over 700 animal premises which include, dairy, livestock, equine, elk, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry.

The Otsego County Animal Response Team was established in 2008. Learn how you can become part of a supportive, caring, responsible volunteer organization that dedicates its efforts to providing for the safety and welfare of the community through preservation of life, health, property and the environment.
