Preschool Special Education

The Preschool Special Education Program provides services to eligible children ages 3 to 5.  Eligibility as a preschool child with a disability is based on the results of an individual evaluation conducted by a multidisciplinary team. The individual evaluation enables the committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) in each local school district to determine whether a child has a disability and, if so, what preschool special education program and or services are appropriate.
 Services may include:

  • Evaluations
  • Speech therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Counseling
  • Vision Services
  • Special Education Itinerant services
  • Special class in an integrated setting
  • Special Class

Referrals should be made to the child’s local school district.
