Highways Forestry and Parks

 Highways, Forestry and Park

The Forestry and Parks Department was merged with the County Highway Department in 1981 by board resolution.

Forest of Dozen Dads is a park maintained by the Highway Department. It is mainly a picnic and nature trail area, and there is no charge for its use.

With 3600 acres of County-owned forests, a contract is made with Otsego County Soil and Water Conservation District, to aid in the management of county-owned forest and marketing of timber. .
